Projects Spotlight
Voluntary Work

I volunteer with St John Ambulance (SJA) as a First Aider and was a Unit Manager. The unit is part of the First Aid society at my university for which I was also on committee.

As part of my roles, I taught first aid to people at the society and occasionally I'm asked to teach first aid outside of the university but my primary role as a First Aider is to administer first aid whenever required.

The GoodSAM (Smartphone Activated Medics) app alerts trained first aiders or health care professionals to cardic arrests in their immediate vincinity.

2019 - 2020
SJA - Unit Manager

As Unit Manager, I was responsible for the day to day running of the Surrey LINKS unit and its members.

2019 - Present
GoodSAM - Responder

After treating a cardiac arrest patient off duty, I decided to sign up for the GoodSAM platform.

2018 - Present
SJA - First Aider

I initally joined St John Ambulance as a First Aider through the First Aid Society at my university. During COVID, I volunteered in London at the NHS Nightingale Hospital London. I then volunteered at University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hosptial in their Emergency Departments.
